To provide assistance for Syrians, both in North Carolina and abroad affected by the war. We seek to show compassion and support for relocated Syrians, and to coordinate with Medical Groups working inside Syria and provide financial support.
We are two third-year undergraduate students at Davidson College from Syria, Adam Morin and Mohammed El-Sarhan, hosting a silent auction and the Medical Relief & Contemporary Syrian Art event at Davidson.
Adam Morin is a pre-medical student majoring in Public Health and minoring in Chemistry. He was born in Aleppo, Syria and moved to the U.S. when he was nine years old. With the current war crisis in Syria, he has been very involved in helping the Syrian population whether in Charlotte or a refugee camp in Jordan.
Mohammed El-Sarhan is an Economics student with a strong passion to help Syrian refugees. His family remains in Syria and he strives to build a future for his siblings who dream of a normal life.
We are a group of dedicated Elon University students and faculty that believe that together we can make the world a better place. Syria has spoken to us at a personal level and touched our inner souls and we feel the urge to work together to help the Syrian people in this time of crisis.
We stand for the people.
